Immobilizes the knife blade to obtain a uniform bevel angle

The patented guide system of your Tormek knife sharpener allows you to adjust the angle of the bevel of your knife. One of its components is a plastic clamp that secures the blade to form a uniform bevel along its length. If the plastic clamp wears out, you can easily replace it with the EC-38 Guide Replacement Clamp.

The plastic of the guide system may wear slightly near the diamond wheel during the first few sharpenings. This is normal and is part of the break-in process. Therefore, if any of your knives have thick blades, it’s a good idea to have two clamps: one for thin-bladed knives, the other for thick blades.
